As the last day of your apartment lease approaches, there are some things to keep in mind while moving out to avoid incurring costs that would be deducted from your security deposit.
Tarleton Square highly suggests taking advantage of the hassle free cleaning fee that can be deducted from your Security deposit. Moving can be stressful enough without having to worry about spending hours cleaning your apartment, let us take that worry away! With this one fee, all you are responsible for is removing all personal belongings and trash, replacing drip pans on the stove, and making sure all light bulbs are in working order.

*If you choose to take care of the cleaning yourself and do not clean the apartment to our standards, you will be charged for cleaning of each item not cleaned.
*If you choose to hire a professional cleaning company to clean your carpets, you must provide the office with a copy of the receipt or you will be charged as if they were not cleaned. The professional cleaning of the carpets must also be to our cleaning standards or you will be charged as if they were not cleaned.

Remember all furniture & other large items from your apartment (such as couches, chairs, mattresses, desks, tables, bicycles, etc.) must be moved completely off site, including the dumpsters. We provide the dumpsters for trash only. If items are left on the property, the resident will be responsible for the cost of removing & disposing of such items.
All keys shall be turned in by 10am the morning of your lease expiration date. If keys are lost or otherwise not returned, resident shall pay for costs of replacing all non-returned keys ($25 per apartment key, $15 per mailbox key, $10 per pool key, and $5 per pool pass). When you move out, please bring your keys to the leasing office, or drop them in the drop box in an envelope with your name and apartment number. Please remember that if you do not vacate your apartment prior to 10am on your lease expiration date, you will be charged accordingly.
We want to return to you as much of your security deposit as possible, so please follow the above recommendations so we can do that. Please fill out an intention to vacate form with the leasing office including your forwarding address to where you would like the check sent. Your refund will be mailed to your forwarding address 45 days from your leasing ending date.
Be sure to let the post office, family, friends, school and businesses know your change of address. The forwarding address that you included on your intention to vacate form is for your returned security deposit only. The Post Office will forward mail for a short period of time if you complete a change of address form found online at moversguide.usps.com.
